You hesitantly walked across Ivan's front lawn, making your way to his front door. You took in a deep breath, convincing yourself to knock on the door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
With ever knock, the chanting inside grew louder and louder until you could practically feel the dark, suffocating aura.
A large Russian man opened the door and looked down at you with a big, innocent smile... 'Ivan,' you thought with a sigh.
"Privet, [Name]," Ivan stood in the door way, leaving no space for you to walk inside. "You are here to see Toris, da?"
"D-da!" You nodded, trying to put on a bright smile for the Russian. He usually responded well to that...
"Ты такая необычная..." Ivan murmured. You are so unusual. He always said that to you. That was the only phrase you learned in Russian because of him. "You won't take him out, da?"
"Da. I won't take him away..." Your bright smile turned into a nervous one as Ivan stared you down with cold eyes and, yet, an innocent smile.
"Хорошо! Good!" Ivan stepped to one side and lightly grabbed your arm, pulling you into the house and closing the door behind you. "He's in the living room."
"Th-thank you..." You said as a shiver ran up your spine, feeling his piercing eyes trained on you while you headed for the living room.
You stepped into the living room and saw Toris at the desk in the corner of the room. With his back facing you, he was reciting something under his breath. You sneaked up behind him and peered over his shoulder, trying to get a peek of the words on the paper in his hands.
"H-huh?" Toris glanced over his shoulder at you, your faces just millimeters apart. "O-oh! [N-name]!" He stammered as his face went beet-red.
"Hey Toris!" You smiled brightly at him, losing your view of the words as he turned around to face you. "Aww! Can't I read it?"
"I-It's just work... It'll be too boring for you," Toris folded the piece of paper and slid it underneath the books on the desk.
"Aw, okay! I guess that's alright..." You shrugged and Toris finally cracked a smile, sighing with relief.
"Good... Is there something you wanted?" Toris asked and you shook your head.
"Nah! I just wanted to visit you!" You reached out for his shoulder-length brown hair, which was silky to touch, and ruffled it. "Is that... okay?"
"Žinoma!" Toris nodded happily. "I--"
"I am needed elsewhere," a sweet, childlike voice called from the other room. "You will wait here for me, won't you, Toris?" Ivan asked, his dark, suffocating aura returning until the Lithuanian finally answered.
"O-of course, Mr.Ivan!" Toris nodded fearfully, his eyes going wide as Ivan stepped into the living room with Eduard and Raivis.
"Eduard and Raivis will make sure of that... Da?" He turned to face the two with cold, narrowed eyes.
"D-da!" Raivis nodded, trembling under Ivan's hand as he pushed down on the Latvian's head with such force...
"Da," Eduard nodded a little more boldly with a poker face. That innocent grin returned to Ivan's face.
"Good! I'll be back tomorrow morning. Make sure she's gone by then," Ivan mumbled those last words under his breath so Toris would not hear. But... you heard.
"..." Eduard and Raivis looked at each other for a moment and then nodded.
Ivan left the four of you, taking that dark and suffocating aura with him once he slammed the door behind him.
"Hey... now that he's gone... How about we hang out?" You turned to Toris with a bright grin and he pulled you down onto his lap, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head against your back.
"N-no way! Mr.Ivan said that y-you two h-have to stay right h-here!" Raivis shook his head, clearly afraid of the consequences he would face should he let you two leave.
"I agree," Eduard nodded, folding his arms across his chest with a straight face, pushing up his glasses with two fingers.
"I want to spend time with [Name]... And we'll only be out for a while... Right?" Toris rested his chin on your shoulder, looking at you with a slightly... worried expression.
"Yes, of course!" You assured them. "I'll bring Toris right back! Ivan won't even know he was gone..." You whispered the last sentence and the three Baltics exchanged glances.
"Fine..." Eduard shrugged. "I won't say anything."
"B-but wh-what if I get scared a blurt everything out?" Raivis asked, his face panic-stricken. "I-I don't want you two to get into trouble!"
"Then don't get them into trouble," Eduard sighed, putting an arm around Raivis and walking him out the living room. "I'll get you something to drink... to calm your nerves..."
"I'll go get ready," Toris murmured and you climbed off his lap, following Eduard and Raivis to the kitchen.
"I'll be waiting!" You cooed as you glanced over your shoulder to watch him leave the living room and head to his bedroom.
"Why is he taking so long...?" You wondered out loud, taking a sip from the tea cup Eduard had offered you.
"Maybe he ran out of clothes..." Eduard murmured into his cup, calm eyes trained on you... and then Raivis... "Go, [Name]."
You nodded and quickly left the kitchen, making your way over to Toris' bedroom. You slowly pushed the door open and quietly stepped inside. That was when you caught a glimpse of a bare, scarred back.
You covered your mouth with your hands, stifling a gasp. You had seen Toris half-naked many times but, while he was putting on his shirt, he was always facing you. You looked over his back many times. The sight became heart-wrenching.
Noiselessly, you walked over to the bed and climbed onto it, crawling over to him and sitting behind him with your legs on either side of him. You wrapped your arms around his waist.
"G-gah!" Toris gasped, frozen in place.
"Shh... It's just me..." You whispered softly, leaning in to gently kiss each and ever scar on his back.
Toris relaxed in your arms and sighed as he felt your lips on his skin, kissing his scars so tenderly.
"I'm sorry you have to see me like this," Toris murmured, "that you had to find out this way..."
"It's okay..." You uttered between kisses, letting your lips travel up his shoulder blades and across his shoulders.
You softly kissed up the side of his neck and he turned his head so that you could reach the corner of his lips.
Toris slowly turned around in your arms, his arms on either side of your body as he leaned down and you leaned back. He had your body pinned on the bed and your head on the pillow. You looked up into his eyes. You knew what was going to happen but... you didn't know what would be the consequence of it.
Toris leaned in, pressing his lips onto yours. You closed your eyes, instantly kissing back as he slid his tongue between your lips and deepened the kiss. You wrapped your arms around him, lightly clutching at his hair as he kissed down your throat and across your collarbone before finding your lips again. You kissed back hungrily and the series of once tender kisses all blended into one passionate kiss.
You moaned quietly, his mouth stifling the noises that tried to leave your lips. He smiled into the kiss as he felt your fingers caress his leather belt, eventually unbuckling it...
Meanwhile, Raivis and Eduard sat quietly in the kitchen with their eyes trained on the door, ready for Ivan to waltz in at any moment.
"A-are they...?" Raivis couldn't even find the right way to put it, but he didn't need to finish.
"Yes, Raivis... They are," Eduard nodded, a slight smile playing across his lips. "There's no becoming one with Ivan now... Toris is already one with [Name]..."
"B-but what if Ivan finds ou--"
"He won't..." Eduard interrupted as he gave a nonchalant shrug. "We won't tell him..."
The following morning, you woke up under the covers beside Toris with your unclothed bodies pressed together and your head on his arm. Toris slowly turned over in his sleep, draping his other arm across your stomach and pulling you closer into a hug.
"I love you, Toris..." You murmured softly as he nuzzled his head into the nook of your neck, smiling.
"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate..." Toris started the sonnet in a soft-spoken whisper.
"Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, and summer's lease hath all too short a date..." He gently kissed along your shoulder and you closed the eyes to the feeling of his lips on your skin.
"Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, and often is his gold complexion dimmed... And every fair from fair sometime declines, by chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed," Toris tenderly kissed down the side of your neck where he left love bites the night before.
"But thy eternal summer shall not fade, nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st. Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade, when in eternal lines to time thou grow'st..." He leaned over you and you turned over on your back, looking up at him with affectionate eyes.
"So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see," he took your chin between his thumb and his fingers, tilting your head up a little as he leaned in, "So long lives this, and this gives life to thee..." He pressed his lips onto yours and you instantly kissed back, sharing another passionate kiss.
"I love you too," Toris finally answered you with a tender smile on his lips.
Your heart skipped a beat at his words and you accepted the series of gentle, loving kisses he showered you with.
